Andy Shaw
When he isn't writing for the prestigious site you currently find yourself reading, Andrew is busy either writing for EatSleepLiveFilm or posting pictures of dogs in hats on Facebook. He fell in love with movies after a double-bill of The Empire Strikes Back & Return of The Jedi at the tender age of four. His favourite film is Goodfellas, his favourite director is Martin Scorsese, his favourite actor is Paul Newman. Caught you off guard there, eh? You were expecting Robert De Niro or something.

We have already heard tell of Joss Whedon's plans to introduce Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, alias Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, into The Avengers 2. He has plans for the characters and the way they will impact the core team, it seems like a well thought out, character-focused approach. Marvel are not in the habit of throwing out endless superhero cameos to pad out their movie, they choose wisely and have proven themselves keenly interested in putting character first.

What did we do to deserve this?

It seemed only right to cap our Fast & Furious franchise retrospective off with a special, extensive review for the latest entry and how I feel it fits into the series. There will be mild spoilers but nothing earth-shaking will be revealed.

The world of Pacific Rim is one of the most exciting and original genre universes committed to film in some time.

Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg's final instalment in the Blood & Ice Cream Trilogy is an apocalyptic science fiction saga of booze, pub snacks and alien invaders.
