The first spot depicts what I can only imagine is Batman's Rocky Balboa moment; we see him worse for wear, torn down at his most powerful and in dire need of a pep talk. Luckily, Batman is close friends with Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman, men who dispense life-affirming monologues as if they were cursed by an uncharacteristically philanthropic gypsy. I expect at least two training montages from Batman and if he can chase a chicken around, all the better.
The second spot focuses more on Catwoman and Bane. She brings the sexy and the snark, he brings the explosions. This seems like a fair deal and I gain equal amounts of pleasure from both. The punchline to this spot is that Selina Kyle has stolen (a potentially gimpy looking) Bruce Wayne's car. This delights me, I'm glad Catwoman is sticking it to the upper crust in passive aggressive ways, that seems very in keeping with her character.
