Case in point: Warner Bros plans to adapt the Guinness Book of World Records. The Office writer Danny Chun has been brought in to turn what is essentially a list of stuff into a workable screenplay. It’s doubtful that many other writers are envying him that task. We’ve come up with some similar suggestions for 100% box office gold:
The Dictionary: Mitch Mallory is a total loser who works as the vice president for a multinational corporation. When he finds a dictionary in his desk drawer, he soon discovers that a broad vocabulary opens unexpected (sexy) doors! Starring Adam Sandler.
Ikea! The Musical: starring Hayden Christiansen as a flat-pack chest of drawers.
Compact Disc: epic period drama in the vein of the King’s Speech.
Scrabble: Mankind must fight for survival against an alien race with advanced letter tile-based weaponry.
