The film follows would-be writer Nick Carraway (Maguire) as moves to New York City in the spring of 1922, landing next door to a mysterious millionaire, Jay Gatsby (DiCaprio). Across the bay from his cousin, Daisy (Mulligan), Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the lives of the super rich and their deceits.
Baz Luhrmann will be directing the adaptation, which was originally written by F. Scott Fitzgerald in 1925. The cast also includes Brendan Maclean, Amitabh Bachchan, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher, Elizabeth Debicki, Jason Clarke, and Callan McAuliffe, and the film is set to be released on 25th December, 2012.
