Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino has tweeted about his involvement in the new instalment of the Planet of the Apes series. Sharing a picture of a monkey dressed up as a composer, he confesses that he will be recording the score for next year's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

There was never any question that there would be a sequel to 2011's outrageously entertaining blockbuster Rise of the Planet of the Ape. Next year's equally lengthy titled follow-up, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, now has an official synopsis.

Andy Serkis is the Marlon Brando of performance capture technology, his work legitimises a method usually reserved for stuntmen, he imbues his roles with life and soul and it is only a matter of time before he gets his recognition from the major awards bodies.

Now that Gotham has been saved it appears that Commissioner Gordon is keeping himself busy, as it's being reported that Gary Oldman has joined the cast of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (another catchy title!)

Jason Clarke has been "that guy" for some time, quietly impressing in supporting roles but never truly breaking out. Zero Dark Thirty changed all that, delivering a subtle, layered performance that deserves greater recognition than it received.
That recognition is finally coming, as Clarke snags a role in upcoming blockbuster sequel Dawn of The Planet of the Apes.

2015 is already shaping up to be a pretty big year for film, with release dates already pencilled in for The Avengers 2, Justice League, Ant-Man, Star Wars: Episode VII, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.
News this week confirms that Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot is set to join the already highly anticipated list, as it is given a 6th March, 2015 release date.

As a truly eyebrow-raising hit of Summer 2011, Rupert Wyatt's Rise of the Planet of the Apes (slickly abbreviated as ROTPOTA) took even some of the most hardened sceptics by surprise.

The list was drawn up, the names were considered, and a decision has been made.

Following the regrettable news that Rupert Wyatt has dropped out of Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, Fox is on a mad dash to find a suitable director for the sequel to the highly successful 2011 reboot.

One of the big surprises of last year's summer blockbuster season was unquestionably Rise of The Planet of the Apes.
The second attempted reboot of a beloved science fiction franchise turned out to be one of the best movies of the year; a smart, emotionally engaging piece of science fiction that valued character over spectacle. The film's success was driven by the focused direction of Rupert Wyatt and the amazing motion capture performance of Andy Serkis.
